Members Painting Project
Our members have been working away through the Covid pandemic. Each month a theme is selected. Members create artwork using this guideline and submit photographs of their work. These images are then shared as a mini exhibition on our Whatsapp group. This has provided social continuity and practice for our members.

2019 Annual Exhibition
2019 Annual Exhibition in St. Pat's School, Market Street, Galway City
Our exhibition official opening ceremony was on Friday July 12th at 7:30pm with the exhibition open to the public on Saturday July 14th at 10.00am. It was then open every day from 10:00am to 6:00pm. It was opened by Councillor Donal Lyona and this year we had 32 exhibitors. It closed on Saturday July 27th at 6:00pm. We had many visitors each day and the works on display received many glowing compliments.
2018 Annual Exhibition
2018 Annual Exhibition in St. Pat's School, Market Street, Galway City
Our exhibition official opening ceremony was on Friday July 13th at 7.30pm with the exhibition open to the public on Saturday July 14th at 10.00am. It was then open every day from 10.00am to 6.00pm. It was opened by Hildegarde Naughton, TD..This year we had 27 exhibitors displaying a great range of talent and diversity. It closed on Saturday July 28th at 6.00pm. We had many visitors and compliments on the work displayed.
2018 80th Year Celebratory Exhibition
2018 The Art Club's 80th Year Celebratory Exhibition of Deceased Members Works
This exhibition will be accompanied by;
1/ The launch of Alison Titley's book about the in Galway and Tuam art clubs.
2/ There will be a secondary smaller exhibition of current members work on sale.
To be held Kenny's Art Gallery, Liosban Business Park, Galway City
The official opening is at 6pm on Friday 26th of January with Ronnie O'Gorman of the Galway Advertiser as guest speaker. It will open Friday 26th of January and run for 3 weeks. Please do drop in during Kenny's business hours and view these historic works.
All are welcome to attend the opening and we look forward to an interesting and enjoyable evening.
2017 Annual Exhibition
2017 Annual Exhibition in St. Pat's School, Market Street, Galway City
Our exhibition opened Saturday July 15th at 10.00am with the official opening ceremony at 7.30pm. It was then open every day from 10am to 6pm. It was opened by the City Art Officer James Harrold. This year we had 34 exhibitors displaying a great range of talent and diversity. It closed on Saturday July 29th at 6pm. We had many visitors and compliments on the work displayed.
2016 Annual Exhibition
2016 Annual Exhibition in St. Pat's School, Market Street, Galway City
Our exhibition opened on Friday July 8th at 7.30 with the honour of guest speakers Fr. Des Forde and Dr. Dan Murphy. It was then open every day from 10am to 6pm. It closed Sunday July 24th at 6pm. We had 35 exhibitors displaying a great range of talent and diversity. Photographs taken by Stan Shields of the City Tribune were published in the July 15th edition in the "On Camera" section and in the July 22nd edition in the "Local News" section. Here are some photographs taken on the opening night by Séan Lavelle, a member of the Galway Art Club.

2016 saw our website launch.
2016 saw the launch of our website "galwayartclub.com". We will strive to continuosly improve this and make it an interactive and informative resource for all.

Here are some opening night photographs. Mr Paul Duffy opened the exhibition. It was very well attended and proved an enjoyable night for all. The exhibition was held at St. Patrick's School on Lombard Street and ran from the 10th to the 25th of July.

You can see Helen Connaire, who was a member many years ago, with Alison Titley sitting at the window in one of the photographs. It was very well attended and proved an enjoyable night for all.
